Solar panels are dependent upon sunshine to produce power and a reduction in sunlight, such as on a cloudy day, will reduce a panel’s ability to collect sunlight. Partial cloud cover will result in partial solar power collection. At night solar panels will not be able to collect sunlight at all.
This disadvantages can be largely offset by incorporating battery storage technology into your system.
